Pretty much every time I get on Facebook, I see people writing on each other's walls or in their status or wherever about how much they miss their boyfriend or girlfriend. I happen to know that a lot of the people who say that see each other like every other day, or at least once a week. They're dating, so they see each other all the time! (And don't think I'm just assuming they see each other a lot... I know they do).
I have to interrupt myself for a second here... ANOTHER STUDENT COUNCIL CAMPAIGN EMAIL JUST CAME IN!!!! STOP SPAMMING ME PLEASE!!!! I'm not voting for someone who sends out emails every day like "Vote for me!! Please!!! I'm a really good choice!! Vote for me!!" In fact, I'm making a list of people to vote for, excluding all of those who annoyed me with their emails. Thank you for not annoying me. It means a lot.
ANYWAY... as I was saying, I'm annoyed by people who keep complaining about missing their boyfriend/girlfriend/whoever because they don't see each other every single day. Why does that annoy me so much?Well let's see... I have 3 best friends. Two of them live in other states and I never get to see them. In fact, I haven't even seen one of them in 7 years! The other one I haven't seen in 5 months. And we weren't even friends when we saw each other 5 months ago! Do I miss them? HECK YES!!! Do I complain about it all the time? UM NO. If I can spend 7 years away from my best friend without posting a status update every day saying "I MISS JANELLE SOOO MUCH!!!! :'( :'( :'(" then of course you can spend 2 days away from your boyfriend without crying your eyes out and telling the whole world how horrible it is that you can't spend every waking moment together!
But I'm not writing this just to yell at people for being lame, or to whine about my friends that I miss. I'm writing this in the hope that those people I'm talking about will read this and realize how good they have it. Instead of crying about missing each other, why not be grateful that you can spend time together? The world is not a perfect place and never will be, so stop acting like it should be. I'm not quite sure if I'll even get to see one of my best friends again for a few more years. Be glad you can see your boyfriend more than that, and look forward to the next time you'll see each other instead of wanting everything RIGHT NOW!!!!
So PLEASE stop complaining about how much you miss each other! You apparently really don't know what it's like to have to miss someone.

But really... i hate logging into FB everyday and seeing ppl who's statuses are ALWAYS "missing _______ :'(" and all of that junk. Yeah, at least all of these ppl see each other at least once a week! Sure, u miss them, and its ok to make that your status EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, but every day? AGH that's sooo annoying!! I miss people, but i don't bother the world with it! I agree with the thing u said about us being happy about the time we spend together! :) But really. I havent seen the person i miss in like, a month. I dont wanna hear ppl whine about not seeing someone after one day!

okay so i just posted a comment and it didn't go through and that is extremely gay! but anyway i guess i will have to remember what i was saying....ohh yes!! it is extremely gay and people need to grow up they go days try going weeks and months without seeing you it is pretty bad we have a reason to say that but we still don't...at least we don't post it on facebook that is :D but anyway you rock too :D and if i had pink and black socks then you would rock them off but i don't which is a good thing because if i did i think i would question my sexuality....well i wouldn't really because i know that i love girls in fact i LOVE this one girl she is sooo amazing and yep just thought i would say that :D

i know what ya mean i have friends at youth group now and it juts ticks me off when they talk about their boyfriend or girlfriend when i am right next to them trying to have a normal convo!!!! mc you did the right thing in writing this!!!
